Dice simulator

The house rolls a number from 0 to 99.99. If it lands under your target you win, so your win probability is simply the target divided by 100. The multiplier is then (1 − edge) ÷ probability.

Target 50 gives a 50% chance and a 1.98× payout at a 1% edge. Target 2 gives a 2% chance and 49.5×. Target 98 gives a 98% chance and 1.01×. Expected value in all three cases: 99 cents per dollar.

What actually differs is how long you survive. At target 98 you will win almost every roll and lose slowly and steadily. At target 2 you will lose 98 rolls in a row and then get a windfall. Neither is a strategy. Both cost exactly 1% of everything you stake.
