Mines simulator
A playable 5×5 Mines board using the same multiplier formula the crypto casinos use. No money, no account — the point is to see how fast the multiplier grows against how fast the survival odds fall.
3 mines · 22 gems
Crypto casino originals typically run 1%.

LiveThe formula, written out
The fair multiplier after picking k safe tiles from a 25-tile board with m mines is the reciprocal of the probability of surviving that far, multiplied by one minus the house edge:
multiplier = (1 − edge) × C(25, k) / C(25 − m, k)
Which is why the multiplier climbs so steeply: every safe tile removes one of your remaining chances. With 3 mines the first pick pays 1.08×, the tenth pays 3.6×, and clearing all 22 gems pays about 2,277×. The probability of getting there is 1 in 2,300.
The edge term is the whole business model. At 1% the casino keeps one cent of every dollar staked, forever, regardless of who wins any individual round — and that 1% is also the base your rakeback is calculated from.
How to use the mines simulator
- Watch the auto-player run, or click any tile to take over the board yourself.
- Move the mines slider and watch the first-pick multiplier and survival odds change together.
- Cash out at any point — the return column shows that every stopping point averages the same.
Where to play the real thing
Mines is a Stake original. Most of these casinos run their own version.
